Our lives often seem to hurtle by at an uncontrollable pace, leaving little time to stop and take stock. This can extend to our travel habits, as we rush to tick off places and sights in all too frantic manner, which often yields underwhelming experiences. Only by slowing down the pace can we truly afford ourselves the gift of time and space to appreciate the essence of a place, which can sometimes be found far below the surface. We place this concept at the heart of all our travel stories, introducing you to the hidden gems, engaging experiences and fascinating characters that make any travel experience truly memorable. 

In a homogenised world it can be challenging to really grasp a sense of place. By exposing you to local produce, traditional practices and small businesses we can paint an altogether more vivid picture and promote mutual understanding. We firmly believe the future of sustainable travel will take this form, and we'd love to take you along for the ride, whatever the destination.

• Long lazy lunches with a local family on their Tuscan farm that has been passed down through generations
• Spending an afternoon jamming with a Cuban music legend, and perhaps rolling into the evening if the mood takes you
• Stopping for tea in a remote Berber village in the Atlas mountains, and enjoying fresh mint tea as you put the world to rights with your hosts
• Engaging in lively debate over the dinner table with like minded individuals, from Copenhagen to Havana, and anywhere in between
• Jumping on the back of a Vespa with a legendary local chef in Hanoi, helping him to select fresh produce from the market before heading back to his private kitchen for a chat whilst preparing today's menu
