The hotel is at the water’s edge with a lick of a beach in between it and the sea, as near perfect as can be with shops, restaurants and the charming, leafy Place des Lices a 10-minute stroll away. There is also a large and lovely terrace in the shade of pine trees. Nice airport is a 90-minute drive away.
Rooms come with Gioponti lights, doors of sanded oak, wooden screens and rugs in muted off-white with blue velvet embossed graphics taken from a book of Roger Capron’s drawings, and the spaces are elegantly uplifting in shades of Riveira blue and white. Bathrobes cut for women replicate the first tulip dresses of Dior and, for men, their first short overcoats. Bathrooms are in marble with huge tubs, inset televisions and rain showers with bespoke Riveira Chic LVMH-brand amenities, with shampoos and conditioners from Leonor Greyl. All rooms have Nespresso machines and teas from Pascal Hamour. Most rooms have terraces or balconies overlooking the Mediterranean.
